Danlac Canada Inc. was founded by Egon and Inge Skovmose and registered with Alberta Consumer and Corporate Affairs, Corporate Registry on July 3, 1992 as a private company and has been incorporated since December 29th, 2004.
Egon Skovmose, with a Bachelor of Science in Dairy Processing Technology, has professional experience in Canada, Denmark and the Middle East. Following graduation from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural College in Copenhagen in 1969, knowledge was achieved while working for the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as an instructor in dairy processing technology throughout the Middle East. After immigrating to Canada in 1971, employment in the private and co-operative dairy plants in Western Canada entailed quality control and processing of dairy products. Most recently, Egon worked for the Alberta Government in the Agricultural Division as a Dairy Processing Specialist in Calgary, Edmonton, and Wetaskiwin. The Canadian experience has been in dairy product development and implementation, milk plant start up as well as managing activities in dairy processing facilities.
