Q. Do you accept credit cards?
A. Yes. We use PayPal which accepts Visa or Mastercard securely over the internet.
Q. I can't find your products on the web site, why is that?
A. We have a large variety of products and in order to keep competitive prices they are not posted on our website. We respond to requests for quotes on products according to the type and size of the product batch.
Q. What are the sizes of starter cultures are available to order?
A. For small batches use our line of Bionic products (1 lt. and up). Larger batches use Wisby products (Danisco Cultor). From B50 bulk starter which makes up to 50 Lt. milk; direct set 5u, up to 500 Lt; 10u for up to 1,000 Lt.; and special orders for larger culture needs.
Q. What type of rennet enzymes are available?
A. Bionic microbial rennet tablets (vegetable) can be used for up to 25 Lt. milk (6.6 gal.). Renco pure calf rennet powder comes in 100 gr., 500 gr. pots and 25 kg pails. Usage is 2-3 gr. per 100 lt. milk.
Q. Does pure calf rennet powder work the same as liquid rennet?
A. Yes. It is recommended that the measured amount of rennet powder is dissolved in 50 times its own weight of cold chlorine free potable water allowing 30 minutes with occasional agitation for complete dissolution. Thereafter follow regular cheesemaking procedures.
Q. Are lipase enzymes available from Danlac?
A. Yes, calf & lamb enzymes are available and Danlac can recommend usage according to the cheese your plant produces. (E.g. Provolone, Asiago, Parmesan, Feta etc.)
Q. When I request a recipe from Danlac, should I use the cultures, rennet, lipase, etc., recommended?
A. For proven results, yes. We can provide pricing for any request.
Q. Suppose I get started and I have problems; can you help?
A. With over 30 years experience, Danlac's resident dairy expert will be able to answer any question you pose. Email Danlac, or contact us with your inquiries. Using Danlac's products will benefit you in the long run, especially considering our experience in the dairy industry.
Q. Should I need processing equipment, what information do I need to provide Danlac?

Q. What's the estimated time from the order to receiving the shipment?
A. Normally less then a week, depending shipping method you choose: Regular mail, xpresspost (Canada & USA) or courier. The weight and priority of shipment will determine cost.
Q. What size of batches will your equipment handle?
A. From 200 Lt. and up.
Q. Is your equipment certified, and meets government standards?
A. We meet strict government standards (3 A) and can provide pasteurizer certification in Canada and USA, which most other countries in the world adhere to.
Q. Is shipping cost included in your prices.
A. No.
