Healthy living with the help of teachers in our schools.

Much is written about healthy living and magazines are commenting on these subject but is it being used in the home?
It is my experience that healthy eating starts at home. We see that often when we see how grandchildren eat. What your sons and daughters are teaching their kids, is it not coming from when they grew up.
If this is not acceptable, how to we get on track?
I know from a campaign through the schools here in Alberta on yogurt, yogurt sales picked up.
We were told that not only did the kids like the yogurt served in schools, but when they went with parents to the stores, purchases were made that now also included cultured dairy products like yogurt and kept on growing. Of course , that not only came from such programs but certainly the normal advertizing on TV and newspapers with special programs, used to get the message out.
But I have a suggestion that might work too, why not let the kids make some yogurt and serve it for their classmates and teachers? This will get the ball rolling in the schools, there might even be teachers that would like to venture into trying other cultured products like cottage cheese or yogurt cheese, to introduce healthy bacteria such as St. thermophilus and Lb. bulgaricus. This will be educational to the students.
